A one-of-a-kind ceramic cup from the Words to Hold series.
“Sein zum Tode” (being-toward-death) is a phrase from Heidegger describing an awareness of mortality as central to how we understand and live our lives. The Words to Hold series gathers language from philosophy, literature, and the zeitgeist that I wanted to give physical form and keep close at hand.
Glazed stoneware.
Approx. 3.8" H × 3.8" W × 3.8" D
