Sharon Yan is an artist based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Her practice keeps head, hands, and heart in conversation. Philosophy and tech trained the head. Clay engages the hands. The heart guides the themes: family, work, humor, grief, companionship, and nature.

Vessels often become stages, while gourds recur symbolizing good fortune, protection, and gently human forms. Her dog, Hulu, is usually nearby and occasionally appears in the work.

You can find her work in person at galleries and craft markets. For inquiries, reach out here.
